Belly Dancing Aerobics
is a wonderful form of low-impact aerobics. Belly Dance's
traveling shimmies, percussive hip work, and sustained arm
movements make it an excellent exercise choice for students of
all ages and shapes. Belly Dancing Aerobics will
build-up your aerobic capacity and physical stamina. It
will even tone and shape your body while you dance and swat to
the sounds of Arabian music.
The
Belly Dancing Aerobics class will include:
| Warm-Up Segment: | |
| Aerobic Segment: 9/8 Steps; Veil Work and Cane for upper body. | |
| Belly Dance Segment: Isolations; Slow, Medium, & Fast Movements; Combinations; Improvisation. | |
| Abdominal Workout Segment: Isolations and Sit-up workout. | |
| Stretching/Cool-Down Segment: Standing and floor stretching. |
Attire:
Please wear cool, comfortable clothing that will not restrict your movements.
Leotards and tights are preferred. You need to be able to lift your legs and
arms, sit and lay down, and bend over. A hip sash is optional.
Shoes:
Aerobic Shoes (cross-trainers), bare feet, socks or dance sandals/ballet slippers. (No black shoes or shoes with red soles).
Please Bring:
| Exercise mat or towel for floor work. | |
